Two Blender Recipes That Are Sure to Be A Hit

Do you have a Vitamix blender or another type of commercial food processor in your restaurant or commercial kitchen? If you don’t, you should definitely think about adding one to your lineup, and if you already have one, there are a lot of things you can create with one.

Our team at Zanduco Restaurant Equipment & Supplies thought we’d outline two amazing recipes you can prepare for your patrons using your Vitamix blender.

Delicious Fruit Smoothies

Serving: 4 cups (approx.)

Difficulty & Time: This is a fairly easy recipe that takes approximately 10 minutes to finish.

What You’ll Need: This blender recipe includes some traditional fruits like orange, banana, strawberry, with the addition of pineapple for a citrus twist!

  •  Orange
  •   Pineapple (1 slice)
  • 3-4 strawberries
  •  Half a cup of water
  •   Half a cup of ice cubes

What to Do:

  1. Put all the above ingredients into your Vitamix, blender, or commercial food processor.
  2. Choose a lower setting (too high and it will be too runny).
  3. Begin blending for about 25-30 seconds.
  4. Serve

Paris French Onion Soup

Serving: 2 cups and a half (approx. 650 ml)

Difficulty & Time: This is more complicated than your average smoothie and will take you around 20-30 minutes to complete.

What You’ll Need:

  •  Tablespoon of olive oil
  • Salt (half a teaspoon)
  • Elven to twelve cups of diced and thoroughly peeled onion
  •  A single bay leaf
  • Half of a carrot
  • 11 teaspoons of chia seed
  • 50 ml of dry sherry
  • 6-7 g of dried mushrooms
  •  Two tablespoons of butter (unsalted if you have it)
  • Quarter tablespoon of black pepper
  • 490 ml of beef broth

What to Do: Set your stove to medium and heat up a pan. Add your onion, oil, and bay leaf, and cook until golden brown. Once golden brown, add your spices and butter and deglaze with half of your dry sherry.

Put beef, carrots, dried mushrooms, chia seeds, and other ingredients (except your mushrooms they go in after) into your commercial blender and set it to the lowest setting. Once you have started blending, gradually increase until you reach the maximum speed. Keep blending for 7 ½ to 8 minutes and lower your blender speed to level two. At this point add your onion and sherry (blend these for only about 8-10 seconds).
