The hinged lid stays open on its own while you load or retrieve product, freeing both hands for handling cases, containers, and bulk stock. On a 76-inch solid top with 20.3 cubic feet of depth, having the lid stay open without support is essential during the loading process. A sliding lid chest freezer requires you to hold the lid open or prop it, which is impractical with both hands full.

Embossed aluminum lines the interior walls. Aluminum resists corrosion from the freeze-thaw condensation cycles that occur every time the lid is opened in a warm environment. Painted steel interiors eventually chip and rust at the surface scratches caused by loading heavy frozen product cases, while aluminum maintains its surface integrity under the same conditions.

The solid lid is foam-insulated throughout its thickness, creating a continuous thermal barrier across the entire 76-inch opening. A foam-filled lid is meaningfully more efficient than a hollow lid at maintaining sub-zero temperatures when the freezer is closed, which is the majority of its operating hours. That insulation efficiency directly reduces compressor run time and energy cost.

This unit runs on a standard 110V/60Hz single-phase supply. For a 76-inch commercial chest freezer of this capacity, a dedicated 20A circuit is strongly recommended. Remove all product, unplug, and allow the ice to melt naturally. Place dry towels or a shallow pan under the drain plug to manage meltwater. Never use a heat gun, commercial steamer, or sharp implement to accelerate defrosting. Perforating the aluminum interior with a sharp tool damages the insulation layer immediately underneath and permanently degrades the freezer's thermal performance.
