The Best Homemade Pizza Dough Recipe

Taken from TASTY, we tried to make their recipe for the best homemade pizza dough using our 7-Quart baking mixer!

 

Important Preparation Notes:

  • Don't mix yeast with salt until the last second. If they are not kept separated, the salt will 'kill' the yeast 
  • ALWAYS heat the surface your pizza will be on inside of the oven in order to cook the bottom of the pizza
  • We cooked our pizza for 10 minutes at 425°F for the results that we wanted. Anywhere between 8-12 minutes will yield most results

 

Ingredients You'll Need:

  • 2½ cups (600 milliliters) warm water
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 2 teaspoons active dried yeast
  • 7 cups all-purpose flour, plus more for dusting
  • 6 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil, plus more for greasing
  • 1½ tablespoons kosher salt

Optional Toppings:

  • Tomato Sauce
  • 1 28-ounces can crushed tomatoes
  • 1 tablespoon kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon Olive Oil

Toppings:

  • Mozzarella cheese (Fresh, not pre-shredded)
  • Cheddar Cheese (Medium, use half as much as mozzarella)
  • Fresh Basil
  • Balsamic Drizzle
